All About Dance by Kristen welcomes back Miss Ginniann as she joins us for her ninth season as part of our remarkable staff.  Miss Ginniann began her teaching career in Cumberland, Maryland almost 23 years ago.  As a member of the DDS Competition Dance Team, she had the opportunity to perform with the Radio City Rockettes and was featured on the television show PM Magazine.  Since then, Miss Ginniann has instructed dance and competition jazz, tap and clogging teams at S&R Dance Etc. in Freeport, Illinois as well as our All About Dance by Kristen’s debut competition jazz and tap teams during the 1999 – 2000 dance season.  Highlighting the fifth anniversary of the AADBK competition team, Miss Ginniann coached the students to a national victory at the Dynamite National Talent Competition held in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Miss Ginniann stays very active attending various dance conventions throughout the country such as Robert Christopher Professional Teacher’s Seminars, Dupree Dance Expo, Joel Hall Dance and Stepp Stewart’s Stepp With Me convention.  Ginniann is proud to have studied and completed Dance Master’s of America Teacher’s Training School Level II in Buffalo, New York.  Miss Ginniann is a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  She lives in Cuyahoga Falls with her husband, Ed and their children Tobin and McGee.

Miss Sarah is excited to be returning to the staff of All About Dance! for her fifth season. She has been dancing and performing for eleven years. Miss Fischione has successfully completed Cecchetti level IV exam. She has been a part of the All About Dance! Competition Team for four years. Over the summer of 2004, Miss Sarah competed with the AADBK competition teams in Virginia Beach, Virginia to contribute bringing the teams to a national victory during the Dynamite National Talent Competition. Miss Sarah dances with The Master’s Touch Ballet Company and has participated in their Summer Intensive study for the past four years. Sarah also enjoys playing recreational softball and bowling. While in her third year at Kent State University, Miss Sarah is pursuing a degree in Human Development and Family Studies.

Frank Kosik, while living in New York, has worked for Michael Bennett, Gower Champion, Jerome Robbins, Michael Peters, Peter Gennaro, Donald Saddler, and George Abbott in productions of A Chorus Line, 42nd Street, Sugar, West Side Story, Singin’ in the Rain, and On Your Toes.  As an actor, Frank has performed in over 80 musicals and plays throughout the world, as well as several feature films and numerous commercials.  As a choreographer, he has staged several productions of 42nd Street, Singin’ in the Rain, and numerous other musical favorites.  As a choreographer for dance competitions, Frank’s numbers have won many first overall and high-score awards.  As a teacher, Frank has taught for Access Broadway, the national workshop whose primary focus is on musical theatre and dance.  Frank also is on the staff of the James Dance Center for the Performing Arts

Miss Cheryl was raised in a diversified show business family that has given her exposure to many facets of the performing arts and theatrical production.  As a young dancer, she performed in the family’s own television variety show and on other local children’s programs.  Beginning her dance career at age 5, she soon found her passion for teaching at the age of 15.  With only a few short breaks to raise her four children, she now has over 30 years experience of teaching Tap, Classical Ballet (Russian and Cecchetti), Jazz and Ballroom.  During this time, Cheryl owned and a directed her own studio, A Step in Time School of Dance in Mogadore, Ohio.  After years of directing a successful studio that produced award winning competition students as well as aspiring performers, dancers and instructors, Cheryl closed her studio to retire and travel abroad with her husband, Roger.  After realizing she could not fully give up her passion for the art of teaching dance, Cheryl returned to the dance world and is now dedicated to teaching children her  “love of dance” at a variety of different venues. She is presently teaching recreational dance in ballet and jazz for Kent State University and is responsible for designing their newest children’s dance program. This fall she will be trying her hand at directing her first children’s fairy tale for the North Canton Playhouse.  Cheryl has choreographed musicals such as 42nd Street, Over There, Cinderella and Cabaret for area community theaters. She has also taught dance and choreography for a variety of youth groups, high schools, private schools, majorette and dance teams, beauty pageants and dance seminars. Miss Cheryl has received her teaching certifications through Dance Masters of America and is a graduate of their Teacher’s Training School at Kent State University and SUNY in Buffalo, NY.  She is also a member of Dance Masters of America and Ohio.

Miss Margie is happy to be returning to All About Dance! for her third season. Margie has been an instructor for eight years. Margie's dance specialties are ballet, pointe and modern.  She also enjoys teaching lyrical, tap jazz, theatrical movement and choreography. Miss Margie holds certification for Cecchetti Level Four. Margie began her dancing career in New Castle, Pennsylvania sixteen years ago with GiGi Hazen.  Later, she continued on to graduate with honors from the University at Buffalo with a B.F.A. in Dance.  While in college, she performed with the Zodiaque Dance Company and choreographed for Studio Ensemble and Young Choreographers Showcase.  She has taken classes with The Limon Dance Company, Bill T. Jones & Arnie Zane Company, A.B.T. II, Philidanco, Pilobolus, Martha Graham II, Tap Dogs, and Garth Fagan.   A  few of Margie's other credits and performances include appearing with Toy Box Theatre Productions in "Sounds of the City" in New York, NY as well as performing lead roles in "A Midsummer Night's Dream",  "Firebird", "The Snow Queen", "Giselle", and "Parade" with the Walnut Street Players in Sharon, PA.  Miss Margie has choreographed for many theatres and including the Walnut Street Players, Westminster College Dance Theatre and the Red Barn Players in New Castle, PA.  If Margie is not performing or choreographing a production, she may also be found behind the scenes as stage manager or possibly set, sound and lighting designer. Margie is a member of the Red Barn Players, Walnut Street Players, and the Shenango Valley Ballet Theatre. Miss Margie is a member of the Cecchetti Council of America and Dance Masters of America. She resides with her husband, Patrick, in New Castle, PA.

Miss Christina is happy to be back for her fourth year at All About Dance! She began studying dance under the direction of Richard Moore when she was seven years old and performed and choreographed for Theatre Dance Centre’s award winning competition team, as well as the affiliated Theatre 8:15 for many years. Christina has also performed in the opening ceremony of the Ohio Games as well as the half time show of the Cleveland Crunch. She enjoys doing volunteer performances for places such as the Stark County MRDD, the Green Township YMCA, and the Massillon Women’s Club. Christina has been teaching dance for nine years now and continues to attend many workshops and conventions to keep up with ever changing dance styles. She has studied with teachers such as Gus Giordano, Bob Rizzo, and Stepp Stewart, and has successfully completed her third year of Dance Masters of America’s Teachers Training School in Buffalo, New York. Christina is currently a senior at the University of Akron, where she is majoring in Middle School Education.
Jaime Baughman

Miss Jaime Baughman has been a wonderful asset to the AAD Instructor program for the past five seasons. She began her dance training at the age of four, and took classes from a number of area studios including Nan Klinger and Akron University's ballet program. She began teaching dance in college. Jaime received her degree in public relations in 1982 from Bowling Green State University. Jaime continues to take classes herself and attends an annual convention specifically for using the arts in worship. She serves as the Liturgical Dance Director at the Kent United Church of Christ. Jaime and her husband, Scott, have lived in Kent since 1995 and have three children: Rachel, 17, Brett, 16 and Brooke, 13. In her spare time, Jaime serves as an advisor to United Youth Fellowship, a high school youth group, and teaches church school at Kent UCC. She serves as a volunteer choreographer for the Stanton Middle School Choir.

Lori Perretta joins All About Dance! by Kristen for her fourth season as part of our office staff as well as an instructor for our adult class Exercise in Motion. Lori has taught and been actively involved in aerobics and physical fitness classes since 1982. She holds certification in the National Dance Aerobics Association as well as CPR. Lori has instructed body toning and dance aerobics classes all over northeastern Ohio and is excited to be a part of AADBK introductory physical fitness and dance aerobic program for adults and students. Lori and her husband, Phil, enjoy family time with their two children, Maria and Joey, by being actively involved with all their seasonal extra curricular activities.

Amie Gabel

Miss Amie  joins All About Dance! by Kristen for her third season as an Instructor Assistant.  Originally from Western New York, she began dancing at the age of 9 at the Collage studio in Fredonia, New York.   She later became a student and instructor at Studio School of Dance which was owned and operated by her family.  Over the past 21 years she has taken on the role of choreographer and director for local theater productions in both Western New York and Northeast Ohio.  These productions include musicals at Lakeview Intermediate School and Weathervane Community Playhouse.  She has also been involved in coaching and choreographing routines for cheerleading squads in Dover New Hampshire and at Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls.  More recently, she has had the opportunity to attend dance conventions such as Urban Jamm and Stepp Stewart’s Stepp With Me.   Miss Amie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the State University of New York at Brockport and a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Kent State University.  She is presently a sixth-grade teacher at Lakeview Intermediate School in Stow where she lives with her husband and three children.

Mickey Valdez has been dancing for 31 years and teaching for the last 14 years.  A native of Akron, Miss Mickey attended Oklahoma City University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dance Management.  While in college, she was a member of the American Spirit Dance Company, performer with the Oklahoma Musical Theatre and Light Opera Company, and Choreographer for the OCU Dance Team. Following graduation, Miss Mickey moved to Santa Maria, California where she was Co-Owner and Director of Central Coast Rhythm School of Performing Arts.  Many of her students competed and were winners of both state and national titles.  In 1997, New York City Dance Alliance honored Miss Mickey with the Best Choreography award at their national convention and competition. After moving back to Ohio, Mickey became a certified K-12 Dance teacher through the University of Akron.  For the last 8 years she served as Assistant Director of Dance and Assistant Director of Theatre in Firestone High School’s Visual & Performing Arts Magnet Program, as well as the resident choreographer for FHS’s annual spring musical.  Miss Mickey has been named to Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, a coveted student-chosen award, for 6 consecutive years.  Mickey is also a trained assessor of Gifted and Talented students in the areas of Dance and Theatre for Northeast Ohio. Miss Mickey’s musical choreography credits include Annie Get Your Gun (FHS), Babes In Arms (FHS), Grease (FHS; St. Thomas Aquinas), Guys and Dolls (Assistant; Oklahoma Musical Theatre and Light Opera Company), Into the Woods (FHS), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Weathervane Community Playhouse), Oliver! (Weathervane Community Playhouse), She Loves Me (FHS), and The Pajama Game (FHS).  She has also directed and choreographed Evita (FHS), 42nd Street (San Luis Community Theatre), Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr. (FHS), and The Night Before Christmas (Central Coast Rhythm). Mickey has trained and studied with many of dance’s most prominent master teachers, performers, and choreographers.  Among the noted Jazz instructors are Gus Giordano, Rhonda Miller, Mia Michaels, Joe Lanteri, and Keith Clifton.  Miss Mickey has had the privilege of studying under such mega Tap stars as Jimmy Tate (original cast member of Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk), old-time hoofers Honi Coles, Diane Walker, and Maceo Anderson, plus Gregg Russell, Tre Dumas, and Shea Sullivan.

Miss Rosemary has been dancing since the age of 2. She began her formal training with the Ashtabula Arts Center. Miss Rosemary earned her BFA in Dance in 1996 at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She danced for the WSU Dance Ensemble in various musicals including "Anything Goes" and "She Loves Me". During college she also performed for the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, the Dayton Opera, and Carousel Dinner Theater. For the past 10 years Miss Rosemary has taught at Elite Academy in Brunswick earning various platinum and gold competition awards for choregraphy and performance. During this time she performed two seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers Dance Team where she was elected co-captain. She has choreographed and taught for the Brunswick High Scjool and Highland High School dance teams. She also judges and performs locally in various Industrials. She has been happily married for the last nine years to Jay and has two sons Holden (6) and Sebastian (2).

Danielle DiSanto

Miss Danielle has been a part of All About Dance! by Kristen for fourteen years. She has participated as a AADBK student assistant for five years and been teaching classes of her own for three years. Miss Danielle has competed as a member of our own award-winning AADBK Competition Team for three years. Danielle was a member of the Stow-Munroe Falls High School Varsity Cheerleading Squad for all four years of high school. As a member of the 2003-04 Varsity Cheerleading Competition Team, Danielle traveled to Columbus, Ohio where their team claimed the honor of National Champions in the Cheer Power National Competition. Miss Danielle graduated from Stow-Munroe Falls High School and is now attending Kent State University. At Kent, she plans to major in Fashion Design. This July, Miss Danielle went with the rest of the competition teams to National Dance Week in Columbus, Ohio where her team placed 5th overall. She stays very active in dance by attending weekly classes in jazz, hip-hop, and acro as well as attending local dance workshops.
Dejan Tubic

Dejan Tubic was born in Zenica, Bosnia and now resides in Mentor, Ohio.  Mr. Dejan has been dancing for eleven years and is the owner and artistic director of Ryze ’N” Up Dance  Company.  He also has multiple professional credits, including dancing in the opening  shows of artists such as Chris Brown, Paul Wall, and B5; performing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; dancing in the movie “Saving the Lives of Children;” and serving as a back-up dancer for Dawee of Tauro Records.  Most recently, Mr. Dejan has received scholarships to attend the Broadway Dance Center in New York City and Slide in Los Angeles.  He also was the recipient of two convention  scholarships from The Pulse in Houston, Texas and St. Paul, Minnesota.  Mr. Dejan aims to continue his professional dancer career in Los Angeles in the future.  Mr. Dejan is excited to be teaching at All About Dance! by Kristen this year.
