3038 Graham Rd. Stow, OH 44224
(330)688-6000
2. At
what age can my child begin taking dance lessons?
A child must
be 3 years old by September and potty trained. We also offer Mommy/Daddy & Me
classes for the toddler-3 year olds so parents can join along with them!
3. This is my child’s first time attending, do I have to purchase
dance shoes?
A new student can wear socks with non-slip tread
for the first visit. If they decide to join the studio, the correct type of shoe
for their class should then be purchased. Please see the studio’s website or new
student handbook for the dress code.
4. Can I watch my
child during class?
Parents are invited and encouraged to
observe their child’s progress the last scheduled day of every month October
through January.
5. Do I have to stay and wait while my
child is in class?
The studio offers a large waiting area with
chairs and TV’s that parents are welcome to use; or parents can drop their child
off and pick them back up at the end of their class. We strongly recommend that
parents stay at the studio if their child is 6 years old or younger.
6. If my child misses a class, will I be reimbursed?
The student’s account will not be reimbursed monetarily; however, the
student is encouraged to attend another class during the week that is equivalent
to the level of the missed class.
7. Do I need to call my
child off if they will be missing a class?
We strongly encourage
parents to call their child off if they know their child will be absent. This
will eliminate any calls from the teacher at the end of the evening.
8. If my child missed a class and makes it up, will they still get a
perfect attendance trophy at the end of the year?
Make-up
classes do not replace a missed class and therefore do not maintain a student’s
perfect attendance record. However, the student is still eligible for an
Attendance Merit Award at the end of the year, given he or she has only missed
one class. Students must actively attend at least ½ the class to be counted
present.
9. Am I allowed to be backstage with my child
during the Recital/ Showcase?
Volunteers are the only parents
allowed backstage. We need plenty of help to be sure the show runs smoothly. Be
sure to sign up on the Volunteer List posted in April.

eight years of age and have physical as well as mental maturity in order to
begin examinations.

saying their foot has stopped growing (Usually after reaching twelve years of
age).
17. What determines my child’s jazz dance level?
All About Dance has constructed a system of levels from Beginning
