JayJ Graham has been teaching and choreographing in the Midwest for over 20 years. He is
known for his innovative commercial dance classes such as: Hip-Hop,
Street Jazz, Jazz Funk and Funk Tap.
Currently, JayJ teaches at various dance studios across Ohio and holds workshops locally
and nationally. In the past he has opened for such popular music artists as Usher, Britney
Spears, N'Sync and Backstreet Boys. JayJ's talent and dedication has earned him recognition
including a scholarship award to "Monsters of Hip Hop" in Chicago.
He has done master and scholarship classes for such organizations as Dance Masters of
Ohio and the Ohio Committee of Cecchetti. He has judged for organizations and events
nationally.
JayJ started his dance training under the direction of Dance Master's instructors taking jazz,
modern, tap and ballet. He continued his education through such dance artists as Bob Rizzo,
Frank Hatchett, Brian Friedman, Wade Robson. Shane Sparks, Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo,
Robert Schultz. Savion Glover and Dave Scott.
Many of JayJ's past students have gone on to dance and choreograph for some of today's
hottest music artists including Ariana Grande, Pentatonix and others. One of Jay's highest
attributes is his ability to work with children and adults of all ages from the beginner thru the
most advanced. His classes are known for its high energy, but still maintain a technical base
and a structured curriculum.
